Pricing & Subscriptions
3 questions
Can I cancel my subscription?
Yes, at any time. Access lasts until the current subscription end date, then the account drops to the Free plan. Your data is not deleted โ the parts of the family tree and the files beyond the Free plan's limits are hidden, not removed, and come back in full when you subscribe again.
What happens when my storage is full?
New uploads are rejected until you delete old files or upgrade the plan. Existing data is neither deleted nor blocked. The storage quota belongs to each account, so files uploaded by other members of the same family do not reduce your remaining space.
Which payment methods are accepted?
Internet banking (FPX), credit and debit cards, and the major Malaysian e-wallets. Families in Indonesia, Singapore, Brunei and Thailand pay by international credit or debit card. All prices are in Malaysian Ringgit and are converted by your bank.
Family tree and lineage terms
Short meanings for the terms that come up most while putting a family tree together.
- Family tree (salasilah)
- The ordered descent of a family from its earliest known ancestor to the present generation, usually drawn as a branching chart. In a digital system, every person in the family tree is a record carrying its own dates, photographs and relationships.
- Lineage (nasab)
- Descent through a line of ancestry, particularly the paternal line in Malay and Islamic tradition. Lineage determines mahram relationships and is the basis for calculating the division of an estate.
- Genealogy (silsilah)
- A chain of descent recorded in generational order. "Silsilah" is the common term in Indonesia and "salasilah" in Malaysia and Brunei; both carry the same meaning.
- Generation
- One level in a family tree. NASAB numbers generations starting from the Root as the first generation, and that number is recalculated every time the shape of the tree changes.
- Common ancestor
- The nearest member who is an ancestor of two people. It is each person's distance from that common ancestor that determines the kinship term between them, such as cousin or uncle.
- Faraid
- The Islamic law governing the division of an estate according to each heir's relationship to the deceased. Accurate family tree records are needed to identify who is entitled.
- Family QR code
- A scannable code that opens the family tree when scanned. It can be printed on a name card, an event programme or a family gathering signboard.
