Short Answer
What is a digital family tree system?
A digital family tree system is an online home for a family's lineage, replacing the printed lineage book. NASAB records every family member together with dates of birth, photographs and heritage documents, works out generation numbers automatically, and generates a family QR code so the whole family tree can be shared with a single scan.

Everything your family needs to record its lineage
From a seven-generation family tree chart to a family QR code you can print on a name card.
Four parts families use every week
Each one stands on its own, yet all of them share the same member records.
Your family records, safe and searchable a hundred years from now.
A printed lineage book cannot be updated, cannot be searched, and exists in a single copy. This system solves all three at once — with control over who may see what, and an audit trail for every sensitive document.

- Append-only audit log
- PDF and Excel export
- Metered storage
How to build a family tree in three steps
Most families finish recording their first three generations in a single evening.
-
1
Create your family
Register a free account, name the family, and you become its Family Head. Your family tree record is created at the same moment.
-
2
Add members and relationships
Enter parents, siblings and the generations above them. The system works out generation numbers and draws the family tree chart on its own.
-
3
Invite and share
Send an invitation link or share the family QR code. Other members join and add their own photographs and stories.
Families who have already started
Reviews from family heads using NASAB to put their own family tree in order.
We had a handwritten lineage book from 1978 that nobody could read any more. In six months we moved all of it in here. Now even my ten-year-old grandson can look up his own great-grandfather.
Haqiem Abdullah
Head of the Abdullah Family · Shah Alam, Selangor
What I like most is that the age works itself out. We used to write "age 62" in the book, and three years later it was wrong. Now it is not something to think about at all.
Nadhirah Ibrahim
Head of the Ibrahim Family · Kota Bharu, Kelantan
The QR code on the name tags at our family day solved a problem we had been living with for years. Two hundred people, seven branches of the family, and at last everyone knew who was who.
Iskandar Musa
Head of the Musa Family · Alor Setar, Kedah
I am a doctor, so I understand what an accurate record is worth. It was the document section with its access control that made me willing to put my father's certificates and medical records in.

Recording lineage is a religious duty, not merely a keepsake. This system makes easy the work we should have done long ago.
Ustaz Rahim bin Ibrahim
Family Member · Kota Bharu, Kelantan
The interface is easy to follow. My 78-year-old grandmother can open her own profile without my help — that is the part that matters most.

The questions we are asked most
What is NASAB?
NASAB is a digital family tree system that lets you record family members across generations, keep photographs and heritage documents, share family stories, and tie it all together with a family QR code.
Is this system free?
Yes. The Free plan stays free forever with 10 MB of storage, a family QR code, family chat and a three-generation family tree — parents, siblings, children and nieces and nephews. The paid plans unlock a family tree with no generation limit and more storage.
How many members can I add?
There is no limit on the number of members on any plan. What differs is how far the family tree may be built: the Free plan covers parents, siblings, children and nieces and nephews, while the paid plans have no generation limit.
How many generations can I record?
The paid plans have no generation limit — the system supports a family tree as deep as you can trace, and generation numbers are worked out automatically every time the structure changes. The Free plan covers three levels around you: parents, siblings, children and nieces and nephews. Downgrading deletes nothing; the part beyond the limit is hidden and returns when you subscribe again.
Do I need to enter each member's age?
No. You only need the date of birth — the system works out the age automatically, every day. For a member who has passed away, enter the date of death and the system works out the age at which they died.
What if I only know the year of birth?
Enter an approximate date and tick "Only the year is known". The system will show the year alone, without a day and month, so no false precision is displayed.
